German Christmas Market Texas Style Dec 11-13, 2015

Mark you calendars folks because the Tomball German Christmas Market is right around the corner! On December 11-13 in the quaint town center, the city of Tomball comes alive with its Weihnachtsmarkt Texas style celebration!  Admission to the event is free!

The event has something for everyone and does a wonderful job of maintaining small town charm while still offering many of the activities people would expect to find at a larger festival.  You will find over 175 unique vendors in the open-air market including arts & crafts, clothing, homemade soaps and authentic German imports just to name a few.  And make sure to arrive with an empty stomach because the food options are out of this world! Enjoy hot out of the oven apple strudel, German schnitzels, home-made root beer and loads of other options to please even the pickiest palate.

While strolling along you will undoubtedly pass by street performers & carolers entertaining the crowds all in the spirit of a German Christmas celebration.  Without a doubt, you must not pass up the chance to drink some warm, glühwein, a German Christmas tradition.  This mulled, red wine combined with seasonal spices will help you transport yourself to your happy place.  However, if German beer is more your style then there is plenty of that cold beverage available as well.

Five entertainment tents across the grounds have places for you to sit, eat and visit with family and friends while being entertained by the likes of Das Ist Lustig, Chris Rybak, the Chardon Polka Band   & many more! (November 12, 2015:  Correction...the Chardon Polka Band will not be performing at this year's Christmas market.  We regret the error) Or perhaps you would rather catch the local folk dance troupe, yodeling or a Christmas bell choir!  Lots of great alternatives!

And no Texas festival would be complete without a carnival.  So grab a beverage of choice and take it with you while your kids drag you around the makes time pass a little faster when waiting in the short line for the tilt-a-whirl.

And please stop by our enormous booth!  We will be setting up an entire store with our sister company, Texas Slavic & German Warehouse & Texas Celtic Warehouse. The huge space will be filled with tons of imported German steins, authentic German glass beer boots, Christmas ornaments, Russian nesting dolls, home bar signs, bar accessories, tshirts, and heritage gifts (Polish, Czech, German, Irish & Scottish).  Perhaps a toast with glühwein will be in order.  We will be located on Market Street booths M238-244 across from Granny's Corner Antiques & the Tomball Community Center.
