Scotland .5L Glass Beer Stein

Love is in the air.

This limited edition German beer stein was produced in celebration of 200 years of Oktoberfest. The front of the stein features a man holding his beer closely and a yound lady even closer as he receives a sweet kiss from her.  Two Bavarian lions hold a Munchen Oktoberfest banner. One lion faces Munich's Frauenkirche (Our Lady's Church) and the other faces the Rathaus with the famous Glockenspiel (animated bell-tower). Also included in the design are laurels, beer mugs, pretzels and a trumpet.

Stands approximately 11" tall and holds .75 liters.

The detailed raised relief on this horn depicts the story of the battle in Teutoburger Forest with Germanic warriors conquering Roman soldiers. The Battle of the Teutoburg Forest was fought in September 9 AD during the Roman-Germanic Wars (113 BC-439 AD).  The warrior in the middle is holding a shield that says "Und sie tranken noch eins ehe sie gingen" which means "and they drank another one before they went on". At the mouth of the horn you see the warriors celebrating the victory with their families and savoring beer out of their drinking horns.

Includes carrying strap and a resin antler display stand.

This .25 liter black with gold accents beer stein features the coat of arms of Germany set against the German flag with the word "Deutschland" beneath. Handcrafted in Germany by King-Werk.

The front of this old world looking beer stein is a raised relief of a Swiss man blowing an Alphorn which was used for communicating back in the day. His faithful St. Bernard stands guard. Also featured is an Edelweiss flower with the Swiss crest. All around the stein are raised reliefs of important points of interest including: Lausanne, Grindewald, Zurich, St. Moritz (Alpine resort), Geneve (Geneva), Luzern, Zermatt, Rheinfall (largest plain fall in Europe), Interlaken, Montreux, Bern, and Vaduz. The handle is a Swiss mountain climber.

The sound of bagpipes can go straight to your bones.  Such a soothing, pleasant sound.  You can almost hear them playing just by looking at this Scottish themed beer stein.

The stein honors all things Scotland.  You will find a raised relief of a bagpiper in a traditional Scottish kilt set against the Scotland St. Andrews flag with a "Scotland" banner beneath. On the left side is Eilean Donan castle with the Kintail mountains in the background and on the right is a portrait of Sir William Wallace, also known as Braveheart.  A fire breathing dragon stretches from each side of the handle and a silvery sword decorates the base.
